Buddhism, Political and Political Thoughts is not a book on pure political theory or religious studies. This is because the book discusses the political ideas and core concepts of contemporary Myanmar. As for the correlation between Myanmar's politics and Buddhist morality, the author tries to give answers and deeply explore specific questions in a comprehensive analysis from different angles.

The first chapter mainly explores the pre-colonial political model. In 1885 Burma introduced a monarchy, and the administration and the religious reforms of King Minden and Siam in Burma, Mongkut (Thailand), changed the country, monks and society. Traditional cosmology continued Myanmar's monarchy, but its contacts with outside thinkers changed the system and thus affected the country's development, which led to the continued emergence of Buddhistism as a major factor in Myanmar's politics. The author also mentions how Dobama Asiayone, a political organization founded in 1933, maintained Buddhism at the time. Burmese political activists incorporated socialist and Marxist ideas into their philosophy, which led to the gradual emergence of this literature in Myanmar. Lord Marx
