漢語語碼加上英文詞綴「ing」是創新的用法，也許會流傳千古，也或許會隨著世代變遷而只是曇花一現。語言有無限可能，本計畫除了研究「ing」是否遵循著跟其他英語詞綴一樣的衍生過程，也希望在現代漢語中為它的足跡留下紀錄、留下歷史。
