Ocean freight is the preferred shipping method. In some instances, we understand there may be the need for air freight shipments due to customer demand or vendor is running behind schedule.

Shipment Terms:
•Collect
Air freight shipments approved to ship on a collect basis must receive a Planning Manager's Approval
•Air/Sea Difference
L.L.Bean will pay the ocean freight equivalent for the shipment and the Vendor will pay the air upgrade charges, using L.L.Bean's preferred forwarder

It is imperative that Vendors utilize L.L.Bean's established network of service providers, otherwise they may be subject to a chargeback. (See Chargeback Policy).

Please contact L.L.Bean Transportation and Logistics Department regarding deviations.
