I believe that there is a reciprocal relationship between the frame of reference and the observations. In particular, I believe that one cannot ob- serve the world without observing it through some conceptual or theoretical frame of reference; the observations, in turn, can affect the frame of reference (Fawcett, 1992; Kahn & Fawcett, 1995).
