We experimentally study chaotic fluctuation in a laser diode (LD) system with a feedback loop employing Rb atoms. We find that the LD frequency shows chaotic behavior with a feedback gain. We demonstrate that, by adding the noise to the LD in a chaotic state, a periodic mode of the LD frequency is enhanced. Our results are consistent with those of previous theoretical studies.
