Purchase Orders reflect the quantity and turnover date expected, as well as the cost of the goods being ordered. An "accepted" Purchase Order is a binding agreement with respect to turnover date and quantity, and will respect the price quote.
L.L.Bean's preferred method of communication is through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with no paper copy sent. L.L.Bean does have a formal L.L.Bean EDI Agreement for trading partnerships. Vendors not set up to receive Purchase Orders via EDI can receive a paper copy via fax or mail until EDI capabilities are established. Purchase Orders transmitted via fax will have the same information as orders transmitted through EDI.
