Changes in contractile impulse measured from 0 ms to 30, 50, 100, and 200 ms were positively correlated with both changes in RER of VL-VM measured to 50 (P 0.01–0.001) and 75 ms (P 0.05), and in MAV measured to 30, 50, 100, and 200 ms (P 0.05–0.001). Correlations with BF were also significant in these time intervals (P 0.05–0.01). Changes in rRFD measured to the level of 1/6, 1/2, and 2/3 of MVC were positively correlated with both changes in RER of VL-VM mea-sured to 50 and 75 ms, and in MAV measured to 30, 50, 100, and 200 ms, as shown in Figure 7. Again, correlations with BF were also significant in these time intervals (data not shown).
