But then here at school I have actually opted out of our Aboriginal education because there are no non-Indigenous teachers interested in Aboriginal education, we were all Aboriginal. I don’t think that’s right. Why just the Indigenous people on this committee to make it work? And I think that’s got to be a management thing. I think the school should be aware that it doesn’t have to be Indigenous staff—it has to be a mixture. … After a certain amount of time you do get the skills to say ‘‘No I’m not going on [such and such]’’. But I think it takes a couple of years to get used to your own style of dealing with it. (Interview, Carol, 2004)
