This review demonstrates that in spite of limited data, multimodal rehabilitation programmes incorporating exercise and nutritional interventions improve many outcomes that are important to patients with incurable cancer, most notably those relating to physical endurance and depression. This finding, along with factors associated with programme completion, lends further support to the argument that exercise and nutritionalinterventionshouldformintegralcomponentsofcancer rehabilitation. Multi-modal treatmentsare evolvingfor cancer cachexia, and these may be usefully adapted to cancer rehabilitation.
