This section details L.L.Bean's requirements for vendors that are Importer of Record and are airing cargo into the U.S. named Airport.

Letter of Instruction

L.L.Bean Transportation will provide a Letter of Instruction designating the carrier and final delivery instructions once the Air Shipment Advice form is received. This letter will be sent to Vendor and/or Broker contact via e-mail.

Delivery Order

L.L.Bean Transportation Department should be notified via e-mail once cargo is released from U.S. Customs. Vendor's Broker will then issue Delivery Order to our carrier via e-mail or fax and also provide copy of Delivery Order to L.L.Bean Transportation.

If seller agrees to deliver container directly to our warehouse(s), then a delivery appointment must be made in advance by calling our Receiving Offices:
