Statistical data showed that in the categories of gender and socioeconomic level, school violence increased as school size increased. These findings lead to the conclusion that gender and socioeconomic level are significant factors in regard to school violence. Analysis also revealed that males showed a slightly higher tendency than females to be involved in incidents of school violence. This conclusion mirrors research discussed in the review of the literature that indicates that male students are at a higher risk to commit school violence than females (Furlong and Morrison 2000).
