As an organisation, Scouting is a youth movement, offering activities and experiences as part of a non- formal education program for young people. In Australia, these young people may be as young as five years of age through until the age of 26. Throughout the journey of Scouts Australia’s programme review and redevelopment, research partnerships have played a crucial role in providing insight and understanding into the expectations of the community – those currently engaged in Scouting as well as former and prospective members.
