Among them, temperature is probably the most
important indoor air quality parameter in schools and
other buildings (Jaakkola 2006). It was found that test
scores of children were considerably lower in rooms
without air conditioning than those in air conditioned
rooms (Kevan and Howes 1980). Based on experimental field study, Wargocki and Wyon (2006) suggested
that improving air quality and temperatures in classrooms should be given a high priority for improving
learning performance.
