The internet is part of everyday life for most young americans : about
three-quarters of 18-24 year-olds regularly go online . many have now
added internet shopping to email and other activities . since the mid -
1990s , shopping online has grown from almost nothing to about five per
cent of all us retailing . sales have been increasing by over 25 % per year
and last year goods and services worth's 93 billion were bought online
