IRCO team, whatever Tiana comes up with as an “out of stock” date, we need to work back from that date to include material lead time, Production time and inbound and outbound shipping. My July of 2019 decision date is based on an estimate of a 4-month total lead time and the 544 bushings lasting until November 2019. If we need time to PPAP or perform any other type of testing, that would have to be considered as well.BillFrom: Ourada, Tim Sent: Tuesday, November 05, 2019 10:27 AMTo: tiana.yu 游麗君 Cc: Tretter, David ; Bill Adler Subject: Request to update timing requirement on new Con-rod bushing materialTiana, We are continuing to test. The tribology test show that C544 baseline is very good and difficult to beat. So we may have to choose the next best option. So far, the tribology testing doesn’t show a clear winner between C521 and the Qn material. So we plan to test both in compressors. Those test will start in the next month and will last 2.5 months each. I am a little concerned about the pace of our testing. With your recent updates to volume forecast, do we have more time to make a decision? Last I heard was there was about 1.2 years’ worth of stock as of July 2019. Perhaps that is improving?
