Failure should not be seen as an end to one’s learning path, nor as anathema to the American culture. Instead, if seen as a natural part of learning and the path to success, failure can both teach and motivate a person to do better. Rather than using it as an excuse to quit one’s effort, acknowledging, understanding, and most importantly studying the reasons behind failed attempts, can serve a person to make more deliberate decisions and act accordingly in order to improve their ways toward a desired outcome.
