If the calibration gas quality is inconsistent and/or the pollutant concentration is not correct, the CEMS will be improperly calibrated. The MEP regulations do not provide specific protocols for calibration gases to ensure consistent quality. Gas vendors only need to obtain a license for chemical production to be eligible to manufacture and sell calibration gases.
