The differences between the sentence structure of Hausa and it of English include the mode of noun and the using of adjective. First of all, the nouns are divided into singular and plural in both of Hausa and English. However, the native speakers don’t have a simple rule to construct the mode of nouns in Hausa. In contrast, majority of the English singular nouns only need to add -s after them and then they become plural words. Furthermore, the words used to describe nouns are called adjective in English. Hausa also has adjective to describe things, however, it uses nouns to express the meanings of some adjectives in English in some cases.
