The purpose of the Project Assessment and Control process is to asses if the plans are aligned and feasible; determine the status of the project , technical and process performance; and direct execution to help ensure that the performance is according to plans and schedules, within projected bugets, to satisfy technical objectivesThe process evaluates, periodically and at major events, the progress and achievements against requirements, plans and overall business objectives. Information is provided for management action when significant variances are detected. This process also includes redirecting the project activities and tasks, as appropriate, to correct identified deviations and variations from other technical management or technical process. Redirection may include re-planning as appropriate.
