Several security models aiming at phishing mitigation have been proposed [24] [25]. Basically,
both solutions are limited to identifying users through the analysis of currently adopted
processes and security models, being inefficient when applied to new internet banking systems.
The results in [29] show that any device operating in a compromised environment becomes
equally compromised as the environment could alter and tamper communication messages sent
and received by the device. The authors suggest that a device authentication model would
effectively secure the banking system against such compromised situations.
