Many genres and instrumental ensembles, large and small, have incorporated the haegum including nearly all court music ensembles: large string and wind orchestra featuring Korean-derived double-reed, large string and wind orchestra featuring Korean-derived 6-string zither, medium-sized wind ensemble featuring Korean-derived double-reed (known as taepungnyu and, if accompanying dance, samhyonyukgak), medium-sized string ensemble(chul-pungnyu), ancestral shrine ritual music ensemble (chongmyo cheryeak), and the ensemble accompanying the vocal form kagok(see Anon. 1998, 20-8; Song 2002, 305-9)
