Similar results were obtained when Crick and Dodge (1996) correlated proactive and reactive aggression in children with positive outcome expectancies for aggression and hostile attribution biases. It is therefore conceivable that proactive and reactive criminal thinking also enter into a countervailing relationship with peer delinquency, whereby proactive criminal thinking is shaped by delinquent peer associations and reactive criminal thinking encourages delinquent peer associations.
