Manigoldo needed one good full minute to swallow all of what the other was saying, and asked in shock, “Pardon me, Asmita, you are saying?”“Do not even think to betray us, Manigoldo, or I will unquestionably come after you. Literally.”“But of course,” he responded fast, cheering inwardly in seeing some hopes, “That is my promise, Virgo, that I will never ever do anything against my allegiance to Athena. You could trust me on that.”“I do. And I pray that you will hold to that promise.”“I will,” he responded, then asked carefully, “So, may I just assume that you have reached your decision yet?”Asmita sighed, was probably trying to convince himself that he didn’t make a wrong decision and replied him in a stern voice, “You have only this one chance. I will leave after this and after I left, waste no time to bolt. I do not care where you will go or if you have or have not any other place to go, but should you stay here a little longer, I will have no choice but to pay you another visit later on today. And it won’t be only me. I will take the others, and at that time, Cancer, I’m afraid things will not be so pretty.”Coming from a kind like this Virgo, that frightening prophecy would sure be happening. Manigoldo understood it completely and he nodded, “I understand. I will do as you suggested.” He stopped for a second and continued slowly and gratefully, “Thank you Asmita. I won’t forget this and I deeply owe you for this.”“Sure you do, moreover since I know that you don’t have any will to die right now. And you’re welcome,” now the smile was back. The lanky young man suddenly looked cheerful again as he started moving to the door, “Now if you please excuse me for leaving so soon, as I know you will be very busy. You have a good day, Cancer. Oh and by the way, that is a very nice painting.”Manigoldo closed the door behind the still smiling saint and let out a huge breath of air he didn’t know was holding. That was very, very close. In a movement a lot faster that intended, he turned and entered his bedroom, lowering himself to the chair next to his large bed. Taking in a deep breath, Manigoldo sat still and focused to stay calm, admitting to himself that what had just happened was indeed intense and horrifying, of how close he had been to the death itself. He never one who afraid to die, but somehow at this moment, for a certain precious reason, he just valued life more than anything.Still, Manigoldo considered himself was so, so lucky, specially that such an opportunity like what Asmita had offered would not come twice. So many things were going around in his mind, but one thing for certain : he sure gladly would follow the Virgo’s advice and they really needed to leave as soon as freaking possible.
