In Lesson 9, we noted that biblical writers refer to angels nearly 300 times.
Of these some 300 references, nearly 175 appear in the New Testament. When
we consider that the Old Testament has about three times as much content as the
New Testament, we see that, proportionately, New Testament writers mention
angels far more often than their Old Testament counterparts. This suggests
either that there is an increase in the activity of angels in the New Testament
or that writers of this period simply refer to them more frequently. Or it could
suggest both. In any case, some of the inspired writers mention angels quite
often while others do not mention them at all
