In addition to members of the University, the following persons may be admitted to the library, but can’t borrow books：
(a) Persons over 18 who are involved with private study or research, if supported by evidence of academic standing and fitness for admission. A ￡10 charge will be made for a card valid for up to six months.
No charge is made for the issue of a card to a registered research student from any other university in the United Kingdom.
(b) Students of other universities in the British Isles normally living in the Cambridge area, if supported by recommendations.
Cards issued under this section shall be free of charge and shall normally be valid only during the vacations of this University.
