There are many studies assessing the results of the approach applied here (Braioni et al., 2000; 2001a; 2001b; 2002; 2005; 2006). Two examples of the thematic maps and the multi-disciplinary maps (The land-use map and the quality, degradation and risks map) are presented in Figures 9.15 and 9.16. The latter evaluates all the related disciplines’ analyses by identifying and sharing the elements of quality, degradation and risks among urban and landscape planning components, vegetation components, biological and ecological components, physical and chemical components, and morphological components.
