I advise all of those off-grounds people seeking to take classes related to English learners, those who wish to add the ESL endorsement to their current license, as well as those people who are seeking a teaching license through the alternative route. As you know, the VDOE had course requirements (24 hours) for adding the ESL endorsement to a current Virginia teaching license. The Curry School created the ELL Course Series to meet 18 of those credits, and the other 6 were foreign language credits. As of July 1st, however, the VDOE changed the requirements. There are no longer any course requirements; instead, teachers can add the endorsement by achieving a passing score (of 149) on the Praxis English to Speakers of Other Languages Test (5362). Because the ELL Course Series is not an approved teacher education program, this new regulation is effective immediately.
My suggestion for you, given that you must now pass this test to get your add-on endorsement, is to look over the content of t
