compounds, multivalent ions (as I said when you left) and teach yourself about ionic compounds made with polyatomic ions (you already have the notes for this...use the text book for help). We covered these concepts and reviewed this week in class and will not be devoting any more class time to teaching these topics. Make up the ionic compound quiz (taken Friday) by this Wednesday please. Come and see your last test (chapter 6/7) and study to do corrections if you like. I am hopeful that corrections can be finished this week during lunchtime.
For everyone: Each day this week we will spend a little time talking about chemistry/ doing demo labs / reviewing and then you will have time to work on science fair. Please come to class prepared with your science fair work and your devices that allow you to work in class.
Regarding science fair:
-you should have already met with me about your proposal
-you should have taken many notes as you read about your topic
-you should be working on the introduction section paragraphs in your own words
-you should have completed you materials and procedure (please get me to check it)
-you should be starting to experiment this week at the latest.
-This week, science fair help is available with me on Wednesday at 3:40 and with Mr. Luchka on Thursday at 3:40 in the library.
*Remember, I have science fair boards for all of you.
See you tomorrow,
Mrs. Reid
