The lack of interest from manufacturers has driven insurers to develop their own RL system for reused parts. Developing an understanding of the potential benefits of RL is also a challenge to the insurance led RL system as awareness of the positive dimensions of part reuse is poor. This lack of awareness is demonstrated by consumer attitude and response to RL initiatives. Consumer concern about the quality and safety aspects of the outputs from the reuse system is a potential inhibitor to the rate of system development
