The installation and correct use of Locks is one type of access control measure and is an important element in the hotel’s security plan. Locks are designed to delay attempts to illegally access an area, but they are not necessarily designed to guarantee the denial of unauthorised access. As such, locks should complement other security technologies. For example, a CCTV system may complement a locked access point into a vulnerable area such as a Server Room or the Chief Cashier’s office.
