The purposes of the course are to construct students’ knowledge of science, technology and sustainable environment, to improve their abilities of communication, presentation, critical thinking, problem-solving and the concern of environment through inquiring the impacts of science, technology and environmental issues, to construct their environmental ethics and broaden their worldview.
The topics of the course include “global view on science, technology and environment”, “environmental impacts of science and technology” , “climate changes”, “global warming”, “arduous problems on water and land”, “economic development and environmental impacts”, “biodiversity and the sustainable environment” (Green Map),
“Green capitalism” and “environmental ethics” .
