The third one that we’re zeroing in now is the principal as change agent. This is about the actual competencies that people need, the skills, the detail; and those skills are becoming quite clear. I generally categorise them as push factors and pull factors. A push factor is when leaders challenge the status quo; when leaders say, “This is a problem, it’s urgent. We’ve got to work on it. This way of working is non-negotiable.” So, there is a set of push factors that pushes change forward.
