1. first time (initial) mammogram showing dense breasts.
2. First office visit with mammogram showing dense breasts.
3. dense breast every 5 years +/-family history of breast cancer.
4. patients with known vysts of solid masses on prior breast sonograms.
Early results show that more lesions "missed" on mammograms with dense breast tissues are picked up on concurrent breast sonograms thus allowing for earlier biopsies and diagnosis which can lead to the prompt diagnosis and early treatment of breast cancer and improve survival rates.
