Eason
We have some issues with the Welles Press shipment.
1. The tape used, which we discussed, is not the proper tape. We use reinforced kraft tape just like the sample we sent you
You used cheap masking tape, which was haphazardly applied with little attention to detail. We can cover up the tape you used with the proper tape, but it is a laborious step we would have liked to avoid.
2. This is the bigger issue. The packing itself of the container was terrible. We know the Welles Presses are heavy and we at length discussed the boxes being damaged in shipping. Nothing was done to try to prevent this. All of the boxes on the bottom were crushed. A couple layers of card board between levels would have prevented this.
****Also, absolutely nothing was done to secure the load. No straps, no bars, no extra boxes to ensure things didn't shift in transit, nothing. Please look at the pictures almost every single white Welles Press box needs replacing. The load moved in transit and the boxes were crushed. Another labor intensive job to fix. We need you to ship us 300 printed Welles Press boxes free of charge to remedy this situation.
It is disappointing because after months planning, hundreds if not thousands of emails back and forth, some really basic things, which should have been done, messed up the shipment.
That said the presses themselves and cloths look good and seem to work well. Let us resolve these issues so we can be completely satisfied.
Thanks,
Matt
